DOG LICENSES ARE NOW DUE FOR 2008
City Ordinance requires that all dog owners purchase a license for their dogs (6 months or older). A rabies certificate must be presented when making the license application. Dogs should receive an initial rabies vaccination at 4-6 months of age with a booster a year later and then a rabies vaccination every two years thereafter. The license is $5.00 for a spayed or neutered dog and $10.00 for dog who has not been spayed or neutered. After March 1, a late fee of $10.00 will be added.
All dogs within the city limits must have a license. Failure to license your dog is a violation of City Ordinance and subjects the owner to legal fees, fines, or arrest. As a dog owner, it is also your responsibility to ensure that your dog does not run at large within the City or cause a nuisance with excessive barking.
Dog Licenses can be obtained from Lori Donehower, the City Clerk, at 120 Dakota Street, Phone 689-4344. Please call to make arrangements to get your license.
