Garvin Brook Disaster Relief Fund

The Garvin Brook Disaster Relief Fund was started in December of 2007 in response to the flooding of August 18-19 in SE Minnesota.
Mission
The mission is to aid and assist families and individuals in the community and surrounding area.

Meetings will be held quarterly in 2010. The dates set at this time are March , June , September and December.

Donations are being accepted at the above address to continue the work of the organization. GBDRF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

GBDRF current projects
Two memorials are being planned at this time, one in Stockton at a designated green space and one in Minnesota City along Garvin Brook in memory of Jaye Fritz.

They have voted to support the small baseball field that is being redone after the flood of 2007 and will be holding a fund raiser for this effort.

During Minnesota City Day in May of 2011, they will host a Dad's Belgium Waffle breakfast.

GBDRF recently finished a landscaping project in the Gunderson Addition off County Hyw 23. They dug up dirt, filled in new dirt, leveled ground and planted grass seed on lawns of the residents. This was done to replace the results of flood water damage from the summer of 2007.

DVD Screening and CD Release

DVD's of the flood of 2007 are available for a donation to GBDRF.
The suggested dontation is $10.00

"Waiting for the Tide"
CD of the song written by Pamela Mc Neill for the flood families is available for $5.00.
